Importer Exporter Code (IEC Code) Registration

IE Code is crucial business identification number which mandatory for export from India & Import to India. Unless specifically exempted, any person shall make no export or import without obtaining an IE Code.

For services exports IE Code shall not be necessary except when the service provider is taking benefits under the Foreign Trade Policy.

Import Export Code

Import & Export Code (IEC Number) is to be obtained by the business entity for import or export from India. Import & export code is a ten digit unique number issued by Directorate General of Foreign Trade.

IE code and GST Registration are required to clear customs.

Validity of IE Code

IE Code registration is valid for a lifetime.

  1. PAN Card

  2. Proof of registration (or) Incorporation (or) Establishment

  3. Proof of Address

  4. Proof of Firm’s Bank Account

  5. Active DSC (or) Aadhaar of the Firm’s member for submission.

  6. Active Firm’s Bank accounts

Certificate of Origin (CO)

A Certificate of Origin is an important global trade document that certifies the goods in an export shipment were entirely produced or manufactured or processed in a specific country. This certificate declares the product's 'Nationality'. Also serve as a declaration by the exporter to meet customs or trade requirements.
